Bilan de la toxicité aiguë

Le kaolin possède une très faible toxicité quelle que soit la voie d'exposition. Il est légèrement irritant pour les yeux mais il n'irrite pas la peau. Le long historique d'utilisation sécuritaire dans les aliments, les produits pharmaceutiques et les cosmétiques n'indique pas que le kaolin soit un sensibilisant cutané.
