La batterie d’études de génotoxicité réalisées sur le produit technique s’est révélée négative, à l’exception de l’étude in vitro dont le résultat est équivoque. Les études de génotoxicité ont été effectuées avec la molécule désignée HEC 5725-E-déchlorophényl, le métabolite principal chez le rat qui est également présent dans le sol, les végétaux et l’eau. Des trois études, deux se sont révélées négatives et une a été considérée comme équivoque. Dans l’ensemble, les résultats des études de génotoxicité ont été considérés comme négatifs. | |

Dans l’étude de toxicité pour la reproduction chez le rat, les animaux de la génération parentale ont présenté une diminution du poids corporel et de la prise pondérale, ainsi qu’une augmentation de la consommation d’aliments (et, par conséquent, une diminution de l’efficacité alimentaire) et du poids du foie aux doses les plus élevées à l’essai. Aux mêmes doses, les petits ont connu une diminution du poids corporel et de la prise pondérale, un retard de la séparation du prépuce et une ossification incomplète de la calotte crânienne. Ces effets se sont produits en présence de toxicité maternelle et ne sont pas considérés comme représentatifs de la sensibilité des jeunes.
