Toutefois, dans sa réévaluation de 2001, l'EPA estime qu'il est improbable étant donné la teneur des résidus que le produit puisse affecter les humains. Dans le cadre de sa réévaluation du S-méthoprène, l’ARLA estime pouvoir fonder la décision de réévaluation qu’elle propose à l’égard du méthoprène sur les conclusions des évaluations de l’EPA. Ces conclusions ont été publiées dans un RED sur le méthoprène et dans des documents ultérieurs.
